Pet Acupuncture In Daytona

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been used to heal humans and pets for over 3000 years by the Chinese. It promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific acupuncture points. These points are stimulated by inserting a fine sterile needle into the skin. The location of acupuncture points corresponds to pathways of veins, arteries and nerves that when stimulated by the insertion of the needles, alter various biochemical and physiological mechanisms in the body. This helps reduce pain and inflammation, improve blood flow to organs and speed up wound healing.

How can Acupuncture help my pet?

Acupuncture promotes natural healing and anti-inflammatory effects in the pet.

It can be used in pets to treat

– Pain relief

– osteoarthritis

– seizures

– asthma

– behavioral issues

– many others (ask your vet)

Will my pet sit still to receive Acupuncture?

Yes, Dr. Garrett is a trained pet acupuncturist and makes sure the first acupuncture point she stimulates is a calming one, thus she instantly calms your pet. In rare instances some pets will not like acupuncture however, many pets actually get so relaxed during their treatment that they fall asleep!

How long does each treatment take?

Each session may take 20 to 60 minutes.

How many treatments are needed?

It depends upon the nature, severity and duration of a disease. A single treatment may be enough for an acute condition. A series of 3 to 10 treatments can resolve many chronic problems. Some degenerative conditions may need monthly treatments over time.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

No. Acupuncture treatment may induce a heaviness sensation along with contraction of local muscle. Over 95% of pets are comfortable with acupuncture therapy. Due to the relaxation effect, some pets will fall asleep during acupuncture. Sedation is not recommended.

How do I know if acupuncture is right for my pet?

To find out whether your pet’s condition may be helped with Acupuncture we recommend you book an assessment consultation with our own Veterinary Acupuncturist Dr. Garret at Newman Veterinary Centers in Daytona.

Dr. Garret is a Veterinary Acupuncturist and a general Veterinarian at Newman Veterinary in Daytona.

During the initial consultation your pet will be assessed to determine whether Acupuncture is a suitable treatment option for the diagnosed condition.

If this is found to be the case, then this visit will also include your pet’s first Acupuncture treatment.

Since acupuncture is cumulative (becomes more effective over time) multiple treatment sessions are recommended. Ask about our discounted treatment packages

You’ll usually see some improvements after the first few treatments. In some cases, even after the first one.

Supermarket CEOs Are Terrified That You WIll Discover This New Pet Food That Can Add Healthy Years To Your Pet’s Life

Now you can feed your dogs and cats an ultra-premium pet food without breaking the bank. This new pet food is formulated to improve their health and also… reduce or eliminate food allergies, support glowing skin and coat, boost the immune system, forge dense muscles, preserve sharp 20-20 vision, revitalize joint cushioning, sustain cognitive development, regulate digestion and strengthen teeth and bones. Impossible? Not if you believe what actual users are now saying…

Dear Pet Parent,

If you want your pets to maximize their potential and live a long and happy life, without exceeding your budget, then this will be the most important message you ever read.

Here’s what this is all about: My name is Brandon Godwin, pet lover and client advocate for Newman Veterinary Centers. I am a proud parent of two big dogs, a 69 pound Golden Retriever and a 72 pound Australian Shepherd mix. Until recently, I was your typical “just buy the cheapest food that they will actually eat” kind of guy. The problem was, it seemed like my fur-kids were always getting sick… ear infections, skin rashes, weight gain, kennel cough, you name it – they’ve had it.

I was desperate for a solution to their health problems, but it wasn’t until I was assigned to a special project at work that it all started adding up. At NVC, one of the most common questions we are asked is… “What should I feed my pet?” The truth is, until a few months ago, we didn’t have a good answer for you. That had to change.

Just like us, our pets need to eat a balanced diet with wholesome ingredients to attain optimum health. You wouldn’t feed your children fast food 21 times a week, so why would you slowly kill your four-legged family members in the exact same way?

So I set out with two other team members to find a pet food that met these criteria:
Non-prescription dry pet food
Promotes health in all body systems
Contains fresh and tasty ingredients that all pets will love
Superior protein sources with excellent digestibility and bioavailability
Grain-free options available for allergy sensitive pets
NO by-products, artificial ingredients or cheap fillers like corn and soy
Made in the USA by a company with an excellent reputation and no recalls
Affordable on any budget

Pet Food Found At The Supermarket Is Often Very Unhealthy

We spent an entire year evaluating the pet food brands currently available in major supermarkets and pet stores. What we discovered was shocking. Just about every pet food on the market is either A) loaded with nasty and harmful ingredients or B) ridiculously overpriced. Turns out the pet food we were searching for DID NOT EXIST. We realized then that the only way we would meet our criteria was to have pet food made specifically for us.

In early 2013, a web search led us to a relatively small pet food manufacturer right here in the USA. We took a tour of their top-notch facility and they introduced us to the world renowned pet nutritionist that formulated their patented recipes. He has a PhD in animal nutrition and meticulously hand-picks the ingredients in each formula.

With total ingredient control we are able to ensure the food will promote health in all of the major body systems and never contain anything harmful or unsavory. We told the doctor about our long search for a quality pet food at an affordable price and his eyes lit up. He swiftly recommended a couple of his formulas that we “had to try immediately.”

So we started feeding samples of the food to every dog and cat we could. The positive results and feedback blew us away. We called up the manufacturer and NVC Holistic Nutrition was born.

A Few Benefits of our Pet Food

Live better, longer
Thousands of scientific studies have proven that better food, means better health. NVC Nutrition utilizes all-natural ingredients that are formulated for holistic health. Eating a balanced diet will help prevent many unnecessary health issues from forming and maximize your pet’s life expectancy.
Avoid food allergies
We have two delicious grain-free options available that were specifically designed for sensitive pets. Every pet is different, but most pets can flourish (and stop that awful itching) on one or more of our formulas.
Support healthy skin and glowing coat
Your pet’s skin and coat are one of the first indicators of their general health. Our recipes contain rich omega fatty acids among other natural ingredients like tasty brown rice, oats, flaxseeds, fish, eggs and canola oil… all designed to provide your pet with advanced skin and coat support.
Build and maintain a strong immune system
Our pet food is jam-packed with powerful antioxidants sourced from sun-ripened fruits and vegetables designed to keep your pet healthy so you’ll spend less time and money treating a sick pet.
Revitalize joint cushioning
We’ve added the legendary combo of glucosamine and chondroitin to help lubricate your pet’s joints and increase their comfort, mobility and flexibility.
Forge dense muscles
Your pets will feast on succulent chicken, lamb, salmon, turkey, duck and buffalo that provides them with the amino acids they need to build lean muscle mass. Pets with solid lean muscle mass will be less prone to injury.
Preserve sharp vision
Super foods rich in beta-carotene are grown right here in the USA and added to our blend to help promote 20-20 vision. This is especially important for senior pets with deteriorating eyesight.
Sustain cognitive development
Delicious whole foods like salmon and eggs are used to provide DHA, which is essential for healthy brain function and development. Your pet will be more focused and eager to learn new tricks.
Regulate proper digestion
Both probiotics and prebiotics are used to introduce good bacteria to the digestive tract which promotes stable colon function. Once the transition period is over, you should notice less stool and less bouts with diarrhea.
Strengthen teeth and bones
Flavorful dark green spinach, watercress, flaxseeds and fresh fish provide optimal levels of calcium to promote strong teeth and bones. Maintaining strong bones reduces the risk of serious fractures and injuries.

Plus – incredibly…

Our Food is 100% All Natural

Every single ingredient we use is 100% all natural. There are absolutely NO harmful artificial dyes, artificial fillers or artificial flavors. On top of that, we REFUSED to use any repulsive meat by-products (that most commercial pet foods are loaded with). In case you are wondering, “by-products” are all of those unsavory little bits of “meat” that are considered unfit for human consumption, like beaks, feathers, bones, etc. NVC Pet Food will never contain any gross meat by-products.

We’ve also steered clear of controversial ingredients like corn and soy, because they are cheap fillers with poor digestibility. Eliminating unsavory ingredients from your pet’s diet will feel like lifting a cloud of fog from their mind. That daily “bogged down” feeling will go away and your pet will be free to be the joyful fur-baby they were born to be! We are also very proud of that fact that our…

Ingredients Are 98% USA Sourced And Made in the USA

We support local farmers and source as many ingredients as we can from the USA. Due to limited availability, we purchase nutrient-rich lamb meat from New Zealand and lean buffalo meat from Canada. At Newman Vets we order a truck load of food every single month, so the food is always fresh and delicious. Our U.S. based five star ingredient profile is then flawlessly blended using a…

Unique Slow Roast Cooking Process To Improve Digestibility and Bioavailability

All of those wholesome ingredients wouldn’t be worth the paper they are printed on if they were literally incinerated and turned into ashes. Crazy as that sounds, that’s exactly what happens in many large pet food manufacturing facilities across the world. Many pet food companies speed up their manufacturing process by scorching their food at ridiculous temperatures. They are burning the nutrients right out of the food! Pets that eat “low-cost” food typically require two to three TIMES the amount of total food to get the same nutrients found in NVC Holistic Nutrition.

Our slow roast cooking process perfectly blends the ingredients together to achieve maximum digestibility and bioavailability. Your pet will finally be able to digest and absorb all of the nutrients in their food! With our food you’ll be able to feed your pet smaller servings, which means fewer stools in the yard and the bag of food will last longer to help you save money. It’s time to debunk a sneaky marketing myth in the pet food industry. You might be shocked to learn that…

and people wonder why pet obesity is a full blown epidemic in the United States.

Chicken Meal Is Actually 4X Better for Your Pet Than “Chicken”

I am about to expose a huge loophole in the pet food industry that is exploited by sneaky marketing-based pet food companies. First you need to know that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires that pet food manufacturers list their ingredients in descending order of their pre-cooking weight. So why is chicken, deboned chicken or whole chicken the “first ingredient” in so many expensive pet foods? The answer is simple, because “deboned chicken” is more than 65% water.

Is this adding up yet? Since whole chicken has a ton of water weight, mega-corporate manufacturers include just enough whole chicken to legally list it as the first ingredient. When the food is cooked, the water evaporates and you’ve been tricked into feeding your pet something that sounds better than it actually is. Luckily, there is a solution – chicken meal.

So what is chicken meal? Chicken meal is simply fresh, deboned chicken with the water removed. Chicken meal contains 300% more protein than deboned chicken. You should always look for a pet food with chicken meal (or another type of meat meal) as the first ingredient. Meat meal is not to be confused with meat by-product meal. Never buy any pet food that contains any form of meat by-product meal or a non-meat first ingredient like corn gluten meal.

If you are like me, you might be feeling a bit skeptical at this point. Can simply switching your pet’s food really have major effects on their health? The short answer is yes, but don’t just take my word for it.

Listen to what our actual customers have to say:

Samantha Laubie

Edgewater, FL

“My dogs absolutely LOVE this food. I’ve tried other grain free foods, but this is the absolute best. Not only do my boys have shiny coats, but they are itching less and less the longer they have been on it. They line up with tails wagging at dinner time. I am also saving money because the actual amount of food they need to consume has decreased.”

Alexis Armand

Port Orange, FL

“I switched both of my pups to the Buffalo & Duck recipe about 6 months ago because I wanted a grain free food with real ingredients and no by-products or fillers that even the expensive brands have in them. I love their coat and I noticed their noses are a deeper shade of black. Most importantly, no more itching! Thank you!”

Nadine Ritenour

Sanford, FL

“The Buffalo and Duck is phenomenal! Our dog Sam is 8 years old and has had skin problems all his life. We switched him over to the NVC food and he hasn’t had a problem since! His coat looks the best it’s ever looked and his tail is all fluffy!”

I know what you’re thinking…

How Can A Food This Good… Be Affordable?

At first, even I was skeptical that we’d be able to offer a truly high quality pet food at grocery store prices, but here’s how we pulled it off… We have six animal hospitals where you can pick up a free sample any time, which has helped the food go viral through word of mouth. We have spent very little on advertising and we’re proud to sell the food in a plain white bag. Why? Because those fancy colorful bags you see in the aisles of the supermarket cost several dollars to make. Do you think those manufacturers just eat that expense? Nope, they pass that cost on to YOU.

At Newman Vets, we believe IT’S WHATS IN THE BAG THAT COUNTS. Our mission is to improve the health of as many dogs and cats as possible, so we barely charge enough to cover our own expenses. We now use so much of this mouthwatering pet food that we literally buy it by the TRUCK LOAD. We get huge volume discounts and pass those savings on to you. Most pet stores carry so many different brands that they don’t get discounts on any of them. You can bet that…

Your Pet Will Love the Food And You WIll Love the Price

Our prices are so low that we don’t advertise them! We are also running a temporary promotion for new users.

how to switch foods

When starting your pet on a new food it is important to do it gradually. Not all pets are sensitive to food changes, but upset tummies and diarrhea are common symptoms of switching foods abruptly. We always recommend a slow transition. Most pets will have great results with the guide below, but for sensitive pets you can lengthen the transition period. Pets that were previously on a diet high in corn or starches are more likely to experience diarrhea when switching to our food. Our food is high in meat protein and their bodies need to adjust.
